Audi offers a fleet of performance-inspired luxury cars. Stylish sedans, such as the Audi A4 and the A3, offer a fun, exciting drive with agile handling and lots of great features. So, which one is right for you? Audi Ithaca can help drivers in Ithaca, Corning, and Binghamton decide with this Audi A4 vs. A3 comparison.

Performance Specs

The Audi A4 runs on a 2.0L 40 TFSI® turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It gets up to 188 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard with its 7-speed S tronic® dual-clutch automatic transmission. With this base engine, you can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 7.1 seconds.

The Audi A3 also features a 2.0L 40 TFSI® turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. In this sedan, it provides you with up to 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. While it runs on the same drivetrain and transmission as the A4, this compact car's smaller frame helps it accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in just 6.6 seconds.

One thing the two luxury cars have in common is that they both offer the same 2.0L 45 TFSI® 4-cylinder engine. This powertrain delivers 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque to both vehicles and helps them go from 0 to 60 MPH in under six seconds. Plus, you'll be in for a more capable drive with standard quattro® all-wheel drive.

Interior Dimensions & Design

Each Audi offers a luxurious cabin. Leather seats are standard in both vehicles with classic options, such as Black, Chestnut, and Rock Gray, as well as a sporty Magma Red leather with contrast stitching. The Audi A3 has a sleek, modern design with interior accents that are available in Carbon, Silver, or Aluminum. The Audi A4 also offers this kind of modern look, but also allows you to choose a more traditional interior. Wood tones, such as Burl Walnut and Natural Gray Oak are both available to line the doors and dashboard.

Both the Audi A4 and A3 offer lots of amenities and seating for up to five people. They have similar interior dimensions with plenty of space to stretch out, plus convenient cargo room in the trunk.

Technology

Another feature that the Audi A4 and A3 share is the MMI® infotainment system. This user-friendly system is located on a stylish display on top of the dashboard. It enables you to make hands-free calls and stream music with Bluetooth® and provides access to your phone's apps through Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

A navigation system is also available in both vehicles as well as the Audi virtual cockpit. This feature upgrades the instrument cluster and replaces the traditional display with a 12.3-inch LCD screen. With its two display modes, you can view your gauges in Classic mode or enter full-screen navigation in Infotainment mode.
